About MobiLoud

Is there any MobiLoud branding in the app?
FAQ open/close button.

No, the app is completely white-labeled. There’s zero MobiLoud branding visible to your customers. From the app icon, name, and splash screen to the interface itself, it’s fully branded to match your business. Your users will only see your logo, colors, and content - it looks and feels like a custom-built app made just for your store.

How long has MobiLoud been around?
FAQ open/close button.

MobiLoud has been building apps since 2013, giving us over 12 years of experience. We were one of the first platforms to offer a reliable, conversion-focused solution for turning websites into native apps. Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of businesses launch mobile apps without needing to invest in expensive custom development or ongoing maintenance.

What is MobiLoud?
FAQ open/close button.

MobiLoud is a platform that converts your existing ecommerce or content website into fully branded iOS and Android apps. You keep your current site, tools, and workflows. We build the app for you, handle all configuration and testing, and manage submission to the App Store and Google Play. After launch, we take care of updates, maintenance, and push notifications. The result is a faster, more engaging channel that brings customers back more often and drives higher repeat purchases.

What platforms and website types do you support?
FAQ open/close button.

We support Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, WordPress, and custom or headless sites. If your site is responsive and performs well on mobile web, we can turn it into a top-quality mobile app.

Who owns the app and developer accounts?
FAQ open/close button.

You do. The app is published under your Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, giving you full ownership. We manage and maintain it for you as part of our ongoing service.

What happens after launch?
FAQ open/close button.

We stay involved long after your app goes live. Our team monitors performance, keeps your app compliant with App Store and Google Play requirements, and handles all platform and OS updates. We also run your post-launch onboarding, guide you through best practices, and help you set up effective push notification and engagement flows. Your Customer Success Manager tracks usage, flags opportunities to improve retention and revenue, and gives you clear recommendations based on real data. The goal is to make your app an always-on, high performing channel without adding work to your team.

Will my customers actually download and use the app?
FAQ open/close button.

This is a common and important question. Simply launching an app doesn’t guarantee downloads, but a strategic launch makes all the difference. Success isn’t about hope; it’s about integrating the app into your customer journey. We guide you through a proven process to make your app a natural next step for your audience.

With the right promotion—like smart app banners on your website and exclusive in-app offers—our clients typically see 15-30% of their website visitors convert into app users. These aren’t just casual browsers; they are often your most loyal customers. They are actively choosing a more dedicated channel to engage with your brand, which is the first step toward higher lifetime value.

Will it work with my website and current tech stack?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, it will. Our platform is designed to work as a seamless extension of your existing website. There’s no need to rebuild, re-platform, or untangle your current tech stack. Whether you’re on Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, or a custom-built platform, MobiLoud mirrors your site’s functionality perfectly.

This means all the features you’ve invested in—from product reviews and loyalty programs to your specific checkout process and third-party integrations—will work in the app from day one. There are no API limitations or frustrating compromises. Your team continues to manage the website as they always have, and the app inherits all of its capabilities automatically.

Does it work with Shopify?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, MobiLoud works perfectly with Shopify and Shopify Plus. Your app will sync completely with your Shopify store, including all your products, collections, and third-party app integrations. Your checkout, analytics, and customer accounts all work seamlessly. It’s the most effective way to turn your Shopify store into a premium native app. You can learn more on our Shopify page.

Do we have to manage and update the app ourselves?
FAQ open/close button.

Not at all. MobiLoud is a fully managed service, which means we handle all the technical aspects of the app for you. Your team’s focus remains on what they do best: running your website and your business. We act as your dedicated app team.

Our service covers the entire lifecycle of the app. This includes the initial configuration and design, the entire app store submission and approval process, and all ongoing maintenance and updates. Whenever you make a change to your website—whether it’s adding a new product or updating a collection—the app updates instantly and automatically. You get all the benefits of a mobile app without any of the operational overhead.

What if we already have an app? Will we lose users switching?
FAQ open/close button.

Switching to MobiLoud is a smooth process that preserves your existing user base. We publish your new app as an update to your current app listing on the App Store and Google Play. This ensures that your existing users will automatically receive the new version without having to download a separate app.

This transition is also an excellent opportunity to re-engage your audience. We’ll work with you to develop a relaunch campaign, using push notifications and other promotions to announce the new and improved app experience. You get to keep your valuable app store presence and user installs, all while upgrading to a more powerful, easier-to-maintain solution.

What is the pricing?

Our pricing is structured as a flat, predictable subscription fee, as we are a fully managed service, not a DIY tool. This covers everything from the initial build and launch to ongoing maintenance and support. There are no hidden fees or revenue-sharing clauses. Pricing starts at $549/month with a $1,500 set up fee. For a detailed breakdown of our plans, please visit our pricing page.

How do we make sure customers keep using the app long-term?
FAQ open/close button.

Long-term engagement is built on providing consistent value. The key is to use the app’s unique features, especially push notifications, in a way that is helpful, not noisy. It’s about sending the right message to the right person at the right time.

Our team will help you implement a proven push notification strategy from day one. This includes setting up automated flows for critical moments, such as welcoming new users or reminding them of abandoned carts. The most successful brands use their app to offer exclusive content, early access to sales, and app-only discounts. By making the app the best place to get special treatment, you give users a compelling reason to keep it on their home screen and keep coming back.

Will it generate enough value to justify the cost?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, the value comes from increasing repeat purchase behavior. Apps live on the customer’s home screen and push notifications reach them instantly, which drives more frequent sessions and better retention than email or SMS alone. Brands see higher conversion from returning customers, better LTV, and more reliable re-engagement. Because you’re not spending six figures on custom app development, the gains aren’t swallowed by build costs. The economics work for mid sized stores all the way up to enterprise retailers.

Development

Will I have to update a dashboard whenever there’s new content?
FAQ open/close button.

No – the apps will update automatically whenever you publish anything new! There is little to add to your existing workflow, just keep doing what you're doing, easy like that!

Can I automate push notifications for new content?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, you can configure the notifications to go out automatically as a response to specific events, including new content getting published. You can also send notifications manually whenever you wish.

Our WordPress plugins and Shopify apps provide this functionality for you, so there's nothing for your team to build.

If your site doesn't run on WordPress or Shopify, but rather uses any popular web stack, you'll be able to easily connect to Onesignal's REST API to trigger notifications for any event.

How much work will it take to keep the app updated?
FAQ open/close button.

It will take very little work to keep your app running.

The app is designed to sync automatically with your website, meaning any updates or changes you make to your site (whether it's new content, design updates, or adding new features) are instantly reflected in the app.

This eliminates the need to manage the app separately. Essentially, by maintaining your website, you're also maintaining your app at the same time.

In addition to this automatic syncing, we provide ongoing support to ensure everything runs smoothly. If any issues arise, or if you need help with updates or adjustments, our team is always available to assist.

You also have access to a dashboard where you can control app-specific features (like push notifications or app settings) without needing technical knowledge. If you're not comfortable managing these aspects, our team is always available to handle it for you.

Overall, the app requires minimal effort to keep running, allowing you to focus on your website while enjoying the benefits of both a fully functional mobile app, always up to date.

Are there any limitations to MobiLoud?
FAQ open/close button.

The limitations of MobiLoud are primarily the same as those of your website. If it works in a browser, we can convert it into a mobile app.

There are some limitations when it comes to accessing certain native device features, such as the accelerometer, Face ID, or complex hardware integrations like Bluetooth and NFC. These are all out of scope for the type of applications that we provide.

If you require deep native functionality, MobiLoud might not be the best fit, as we focus on leveraging your existing web app or website to create an app and native integrations would be too complex.

For fully custom native features or hybrid apps built from scratch, solutions like Cordova or React Native might be better suited.

Our solution is ideal for most web-based apps or websites that don’t rely on highly specialized native functions.

MobiLoud is not ideal for apps requiring deep native features, such as:

- Banking apps needing Face ID or NFC payments.
- Fitness or health apps using sensors or wearables.
- Bluetooth-connected apps for IoT or smart devices.
- Games needing advanced graphics or real-time rendering.
- Video conferencing apps needing real-time multimedia control.
- Apps relying on NFC for payments or access.

For these cases, custom native or hybrid app development is a better fit.

This will be a native app, right?
FAQ open/close button.

The MobiLoud platform itself is fully native and built from scratch in Swift, Java and Kotlin for the best user experience and performance. MobiLoud apps are not strictly native, but rather your existing site or web app running inside a native container that runs in every way like a native app, adds native navigation and features like push notifications. This allows you to recreate your web experience exactly, while adding the key features you need to improve user experience on mobile devices.

Ultimately, you could build a native app from scratch (very very expensive, complex – only for well funded companies where the app is a key part of the value prop), or use a template based solution (could be good but by definition it will be limiting), or use our approach, which gives you the benefits of a native app with the flexibility of the web.

A hybrid approach lets you have a mobile app with all the features of your website, in a very short time and very affordably, with the added benefit of not having to worry about constantly catching up with your site's development to add new features (i.e. if you add or change anything on the site, it changes in the app). You'll maintain a single code-base, your website's, for both site and app.

It's a huge saving in both time and money terms, and it gives you incredible flexibility compared to a situation where you have a web app or website and a native app alongside it.

Is there a limit on the number of push notifications we send?
FAQ open/close button.

No, you can send as many as you like! You can integrate notifications with your website (we do that for you with our plugin if you're on WordPress or Shopify) to send them automatically or send them manually. We rely on Onesignal to send notifications and you'll have full control of your own Onesignal account. They have excellent documentation if you want to integrate their API in your web application.

Can I build a custom, app-only experience with MobiLoud?
FAQ open/close button.

Absolutely! A shared codebase makes this incredibly simple.

We’ll work with you to build these app-only pages on your site so your customers get the perfect, VIP app experience.

App-only collections, promotions and content can be easily managed through your CMS with no complex setup needed.

What happens to my users if I switch to MobiLoud from another platform?
FAQ open/close button.

Switching to MobiLoud from another platform is easy, and your users won’t experience any disruption. Your app will be published as an update on the App Store and Google Play Store, so your existing users will automatically receive the new version on their devices without needing to re-download or take any action.

MobiLoud gives you full control and ownership of your app and user base. You’ll use your own App Store and Google Play developer accounts, ensuring you stay independent. If you ever decide to move away from MobiLoud, you can take your app and users with you, keeping everything under your control.

What's your process like?
FAQ open/close button.

Our process starts with a consultation to understand your vision and app requirements. After sign-up, we schedule an onboarding call to discuss customization options and guide you through completing the necessary forms.

Once your preferences are clear, we develop your app, prepare custom graphics, and share a preview for your feedback. Together, we test the app, making sure everything works as expected.

After testing, we submit your app to the Apple and Google stores, monitor the approval process, and keep you updated until the app is live. Once your app is launched, we provide marketing advice and ready-to-use assets to help you promote it effectively. We also conduct strategy sessions around push notifications to ensure you're leveraging this powerful channel to maximize user engagement.

Throughout the entire process, we ensure you have support and input at every key step, from development to post-launch growth.

I have a complex, fully custom website. Can MobiLoud help me build an app?
FAQ open/close button.

Whether your website includes complex custom features like product configurators, custom checkouts, unique payment gateways, or a fully custom tech stack, MobiLoud has you covered.

Our solution works for a wide range of use cases, from e-commerce to publishing, media platforms, community sites, directories, portals, CRMs, and enterprise-level web applications used both internally or externally.

We can seamlessly transform your site into a powerful mobile app, no matter how complex or customized your web setup may be, with minimal effort from your team.

Will all my site features work in the app?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, all the features and functionality your web app or website currently has can be recreated within your iOS and Android apps using MobiLoud.

Our platform takes everything from your web app (whether it's content, functionality, or design) and translates it seamlessly into a mobile app experience.

This includes all custom features, web-based plugins, vendors, and integrations (whether you're using platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or something custom-built).

You don’t have to rebuild anything from scratch. We bring everything over into your app, allowing you to maintain a single code base and website while expanding your reach to mobile app users.

Any updates or changes you make to your site are automatically reflected in the app, ensuring that the app stays in sync with your web platform.

Will I be able to configure the app on my own?
FAQ open/close button.

We offer a complete no-code configuration dashboard that gives you full control of your app once it’s live. However, to ensure the app is built optimally and approved quickly by Apple and Google, our team handles the initial configuration. With our experience, we can set up your app in the most efficient and effective way possible.

After the app is live, you or your technical team can access the dashboard to manage the app's configuration, including pages, menus, and push notifications. If you prefer, our team is always available to make any adjustments on your behalf, especially if you’re not technical. We can handle everything for you as needed.

Does MobiLoud work with any website?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, MobiLoud works with virtually any website. Whether your site is built on Shopify, WordPress, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento/Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Drupal, or a completely custom tech stack, we can turn it into a high-quality mobile app.

We also support headless CMS and API-driven websites, including setups built on Next.js, React, Vue, or other modern frameworks. As long as your website is mobile-optimized, MobiLoud can convert it into a fully functional iOS and Android app, preserving your existing design, content, and functionality while adding native app features like push notifications, app store presence, and improved navigation.

Unlike other app builders, we don’t require you to rebuild or redesign anything. Your app stays in sync with your website, meaning any updates you make to your site are instantly reflected in your app without extra work.

If your business operates primarily online, a MobiLoud-powered app will provide a seamless extension of your web experience, offering users the benefits of a fast, reliable mobile app while allowing you to retain full control of your content and branding.

Do you build the app for us, or do we need to do it ourselves?
FAQ open/close button.

We build, launch, and manage everything for you. Unlike DIY app builders that give you a tool and leave you to figure things out, MobiLoud acts as your remote app development team, handling the entire process from start to finish.

Over the years, we’ve learned that businesses don’t just need a tool to build an app. They need a team that ensures their app is successful. A DIY solution leaves you responsible for setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. If something breaks due to a website update or app store changes, you’re on your own.

With MobiLoud, we take full responsibility for your app. We make sure it always works as intended, no matter what changes on your site or in your business. Our team is always there to assist, ensuring the app runs smoothly with a great user experience.

But success doesn’t stop at launching the app. We help you promote it, drive downloads, and make full use of push notifications to keep users engaged and increase revenue. Most businesses don’t have time to figure out app marketing or how to maximize retention through push notifications, so we guide you through the process and ensure you get real value from your app.

We’ve been doing this for over 10 years, have published 2,000+ apps, and know what it takes to build and maintain successful mobile apps. We don’t just get your app live—we stay with you to make sure it drives real results for your business.

What are the main benefits of using MobiLoud over building a native app from scratch?
FAQ open/close button.

Building a native app from scratch is slow, expensive, and often unsustainable in the long run. Most custom native app projects fail—not necessarily at launch, but over time, when the app and website evolve separately. Keeping both in sync becomes too slow and costly, leading to an outdated app that’s difficult to maintain.

With MobiLoud, you get all the benefits of a mobile app without the downsides of traditional native development:

  • One codebase, no duplication – Your website and app stay in sync automatically, so you’re not maintaining two separate products.
  • Speed and efficiency – Launch in weeks instead of months, at a fraction of the cost of custom development.
  • Flexibility and agility – Your app evolves as fast as your website, without the slow iteration cycles of native development.
  • Cost savings that scale – Custom native apps require a dedicated team and ongoing maintenance, while MobiLoud gives you a complete solution with minimal overhead.

If your website is your primary product and the app is meant to complement it, MobiLoud is the clear choice. You get the reach and engagement of a mobile app while keeping the speed, flexibility, and efficiency of a single web codebase.

What are the main differences between MobiLoud and other website-to-app solutions?
FAQ open/close button.

MobiLoud is a full-service, done-for-you solution, meaning we take full responsibility for your app. We don’t just provide a tool. We work like your app team, handling everything from setup to publishing and ongoing maintenance, so you don’t have to worry about the technical side.

  • Hands-on support and management – We take care of setup, customization, app store submissions, and ongoing updates to keep your app running smoothly.
  • Single codebase, no duplication – Your app stays in sync with your website automatically, eliminating the complexity of maintaining separate native apps.
  • More control and customization – You can make app-specific adjustments using our JavaScript library, custom CSS, and the NativeFunctions bridge to interact with native features.
  • Deep ecommerce expertise – We support integrations with Klaviyo for push notifications, Yotpo for reviews, and other key tools used by ecommerce brands.
  • No design or functionality restrictions – Your app can be as powerful as your website, supporting any plugins, custom scripts, or third-party tools you already use.
  • Expert guidance on app growth and retention – Our team works closely with you to drive installs and engagement. With experience managing hundreds of successful apps, we help you get the most from your app through app store strategy, push notification campaigns, and best practices for driving retention and conversions.

Unlike DIY builders or template-based solutions, MobiLoud ensures you have a fully branded, high-performance app without the headaches of traditional native development.

Can I customize my app’s design and features with MobiLoud?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, you can customize your app’s design and features while keeping your existing website as the foundation. If you can build it on the web, it can be in your app.

With MobiLoud, you have the ability to create a completely different app experience if you'd like, though most customers only apply small enhancements to their site, which are typically already mobile optimized.

On the native side, you can modify the app's navigation, add a native tab bar, customize splash screens, and adjust branding elements like icons and colors. Our team can take care of all of this for you, or you can control the app from the MobiLoud Configuration Dashboard. If you need app-specific design changes, you can apply them using custom CSS or detect when the app is being used and adjust content dynamically on your website.

This can be done using code, and our team can assist with these changes, or your team can handle it with instructions from our documentation. We provide a handy JavaScript library that makes these changes straightforward using just HTML and CSS. It will make it trivial to identify when the site is loaded in the app or in the browser, so you can hide/show site elements as needed, or customize the display of certain elements when they're loaded in the app.

For deeper customizations, we support native modules and third-party integrations. Our NativeFunctions bridge allows you to control native features like opening the camera, triggering native modals, or handling push notifications—directly from your web code, giving you more flexibility to control the app experience.

Can we make the app experience different from the website?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, you can make app-specific changes while keeping your website as the foundation. MobiLoud provides several ways to customize your app experience:

  • App-exclusive products and discounts for Shopify – If you're using Shopify, you can set up app-only products and app-exclusive discounts, encouraging more users to shop through the app.
  • Custom CSS for app-specific design – You can apply CSS to hide or modify elements specifically for the app, ensuring a cleaner, more mobile-friendly experience.
  • Show or hide content dynamically – Using JavaScript or our built-in tools, you can detect when users are in the app and adjust content accordingly.

If you need help setting up app-specific features, our team can assist or provide guidance based on best practices.

How can I offer app-exclusive products and discounts in my Shopify app?
FAQ open/close button.

MobiLoud lets you create a unique shopping experience for your app users with app-exclusive products and discounts for Shopify stores. This helps drive more engagement and purchases through your mobile app.

App-Exclusive Products

You can mark specific products as only available in the app, ensuring they do not appear on your website. This is done through Shopify’s metafields, and we provide a simple setup process to make it work. Read more on App Exclusive Products.

Once configured:

  • Products marked as app-exclusive will only be visible and purchasable inside the app.
  • These products will be hidden from the online store, but users on the app will see them normally.
  • You can promote these products through push notifications to drive conversions.

App-Exclusive Discounts

You can also offer discount codes that only work within the app, encouraging more users to shop through the app instead of the website. Read more on App Exclusive Discounts.

Once enabled:

  • Any discount code containing "APP" in its name will automatically be restricted to purchases made inside the app.
  • If a user tries to apply an app-only discount on the website, they will see a message stating it can only be used in the mobile app.
  • This feature is available for Shopify Plus stores.

If you need help setting up app-exclusive products or discounts, our team is available to assist.

Are the loading times the same as the website?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, the app's loading times are identical to your website's. MobiLoud apps function as a native wrapper around your mobile site, so performance is directly tied to how your site performs on mobile browsers. If your mobile site is fast, the app will be fast too. We also provide tools and guidance to help optimize performance further if needed.

Do you support multilingual or multi-country apps?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes. Our Corporate and Enterprise plans include full multilingual and multi-store support. We can configure your app to detect language automatically or let users switch manually, and we handle localization for app store listings and push notifications.

Book a free consultation to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Can we customize the app UI or behavior?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes. You have plenty of control without needing native development. You can create app-only pages, hide or show elements using user agent detection, adjust layouts with our CSS injection tools, and configure native features like tab menus, back button rules, and haptic feedback. This lets you tailor the in app experience where it matters, while still keeping the simplicity of maintaining one codebase. It’s flexible enough for brands that want high control, but simple enough for teams that want to avoid engineering overhead.

Will this drain internal resources?
FAQ open/close button.

No. The app does not create new work for your team. You don’t maintain a second codebase, rewrite features for mobile, or manage app updates. There is no app-specific content to create and no parallel QA cycle.

Your team keeps improving the website as usual. The app mirrors those changes automatically, while we handle all builds, updates, submissions, and technical maintenance.

In practice, this removes almost all ongoing effort. Brands often describe it as “having an app without having to run an app.”

Will the app feel like a real native shopping experience?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes. Shoppers judge apps by smoothness, intuitive navigation and speed to purchase, not by the underlying technology. We add native tab bars, navigation headers, animations and loading states so the app feels like a dedicated storefront. Your product pages, cart, checkout and merchandising stay exactly as you’ve designed them for mobile, which guarantees a consistent shopping experience. Customers recognize it as your brand’s official app and interact with it as such.

Platform Approval

Do you guarantee my app will be approved?
FAQ open/close button.

We cannot guarantee that your app will be approved, but we have a strong track record of getting apps approved across both Apple and Google’s app stores. While it may take multiple submissions, we are confident in our ability to eventually get your app approved.

If your app is rejected and after multiple attempts cannot be approved due to a technical issue specific to the MobiLoud platform (i.e. factors we control), we will refund any subscription fees (monthly or annual) paid, excluding the setup fees, which are always non-refundable. Please note, this refund policy does not apply if your app is rejected due to issues related to your website’s functionality, design, business model, or if your app does not meet Apple or Google’s store guidelines. For example, certain business activities or app types may not be allowed on the platforms, and these factors fall outside of our responsibility.

How long does it take for you to submit my app?
FAQ open/close button.

From the moment you sign up and provide the necessary information, we typically take 5–10 business days to prepare and deliver the first version of your app for review.

The full process to get your app live generally takes around 4 weeks. This timeline includes key steps like making design adjustments, preparing app store graphics, testing, and incorporating your feedback to ensure everything is ready for submission.

Your involvement is critical during this process. You’ll need to review and approve your app, sign up for required developer accounts, and provide feedback on test builds.

Once the app is submitted, Apple and Google’s review process can take anywhere from 7–10 days, depending on feedback or changes requested by the app stores’ QA teams.

To ensure a successful launch, it’s a good idea to prepare marketing activities and materials ahead of time. However, we recommend scheduling these activities only after your app has been officially approved by Apple and Google.

Will the app be published on the App Store and Play Store?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, we handle the full publishing process to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your app will be listed under your own developer accounts and fully branded with your assets. We help you prepare all the materials, ensure compliance with app store guidelines, and take care of updates and submissions on an ongoing basis.

Pricing & Billing

Do you have a refund policy?
FAQ open/close button.

We invest a significant amount of effort into every app from the moment you sign up. MobiLoud isn't just a tool, it’s a full-service solution where our team partners with you to ensure your app is successfully launched.

Due to the custom nature of our work and the resources involved, we are unable to offer refunds. This applies to setup fees, monthly fees, and annual fees.

The only exception is if your app is repeatedly rejected by Apple or Google due to a MobiLoud platform-specific functionality issue outside of your control. In this case, we will offer a refund for any monthly or annual subscriptions paid, but not for setup fees. However, this does not cover rejections based on your website's functionality, business model, design, or the type of business you operate. For example, Apple and Google have specific requirements around licensing and the types of apps they allow, which are factors outside our responsibility. Similarly, we will not provide refunds when you choose to proceed with a mobile app with us but are dissatisfied with the options offered by Apple and Google around monetization and in-app purchases e.g. If you're unable to use your website's subscription mechanism to sell content in your app.

This policy reflects the shared commitment required to ensure a successful app launch.

Why do I have to pay a recurring fee?
FAQ open/close button.

You pay a recurring monthly or annual fee because MobiLoud is more than just a one-time service.

The fee covers the ongoing license for our platform and ensures continuous support from our team.

We keep your app updated, optimized, and ready to perform at its best, while also handling all technical aspects like updates, app changes, and ensuring compliance with app store requirements.

It's not just about app updates when there's a new iOS or Android version. This ongoing element is critical for maintaining a high-quality app that adapts as your business grows and your website changes.

Our team also helps you with app marketing, user engagement strategies, and maximizing the impact of push notifications to keep your users engaged and generate incremental revenue.

Why is there a setup fee? What services do I get?
FAQ open/close button.

The setup fee covers all the hands-on services our team provides to ensure your app is polished and ready for launch. This includes optimizing your website and app to work seamlessly together and feel like a native app.

We make design improvements, add functionality from third-party apps or plugins, and handle any graphic design needs to ensure your app looks great.

Our team also conducts multiple rounds of testing to guarantee your app works as intended, bug-free.

We take care of setting up your app store pages, preparing screenshots, and managing the technical aspects of submitting your app to Apple and Google.

We’ll also guide you through the process, making adjustments based on your feedback.

Beyond the launch, we help you build an effective promotion strategy to make your app known to customers.

We guide you on how to use push notifications to drive engagement and increase revenue, offering ongoing support through strategy calls and materials to ensure your app’s long-term success.

What happens when I hit the limits max number of users in my plan?
FAQ open/close button.

When you reach the maximum number of active users in your plan, the price will automatically adjust as your user base grows. For example, if you go over the limit, your pricing will scale based on the number of additional users. On the Startup plan, each extra 1,000 users will add $30/month. For the Growth plan, it's $40/month, and for the Corporate plan, it’s $50/month for each additional 1,000 users.

We understand that growth can sometimes be temporary, and we’re always flexible. If you have any concerns about pricing or upgrades, just reach out to us. We're happy to work with you to ensure everything fits your needs.

Can I cancel anytime? If I stop paying does my app get taken off the App Store and Google Play?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, if you're not on a contract, you can cancel anytime with a 30-day cancellation notice.

At the end of your paid subscription period, you will close your account, delete the app, and ensure the app is removed from the App Store and Google Play, or replaced by one from another vendor.

We don't offer partial refunds. Once fees are paid, they will cover the full period without exceptions.

What are active users? Why do I pay more when my app gets more users?
FAQ open/close button.

Active users are the number of people who download and use your app within a 30-day period. You can track this easily using tools like Google Firebase or Google Analytics.

We charge based on active users for two key reasons. First, it ensures our business model is aligned with your success. As your app grows, our pricing scales with it, meaning we're invested in helping you increase engagement and revenue. We provide ongoing support to help you make the most of tools like push notifications and work with you on strategies to grow your app’s impact.

Second, more active users create higher demands on our systems and support. As your app becomes more popular, it requires additional resources, technical assistance, and system capacity. By charging proportionally, we can ensure that we’re able to maintain a high level of service and support as your app scales, even if you reach millions of users.

Do we need to register for Apple and Google Developer accounts?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, you need to register as a business for both Apple and Google developer accounts. This is so you're fully in control of your mobile app and you own the relationship with both Google and Apple.

To register, your business will need a D-U-N-S Number. This is a unique nine-digit identifier assigned to businesses by Dun & Bradstreet, used worldwide to verify a company’s legal status and identity. Both Apple and Google use this number to ensure that your business is legitimate.

Once you have the D-U-N-S Number, you can proceed with registering for both the Apple Developer Program, which costs $99 USD per year, and the Google Play Developer Program, which has a one-time registration fee of $25.

We encourage you to initiate the registration process with Apple and Google right after signing up with us, to avoid any hold-ups later. By the time we have completed work on your app, your accounts should be ready to go.

Note we don't support individual or personal accounts.

Do I need to sign a contract with MobiLoud?
FAQ open/close button.

Yes, a contract is required for Corporate plans with MobiLoud.

For Startup and Growth plans, you do not need a contract. You can subscribe monthly and cancel with 30 days’ notice.

Corporate customers benefit from a formal agreement that provides stability, clear terms, and dedicated support. It gives your team confidence, predictable costs, and a higher level of service.

How does MobiLoud calculate fees based on active user numbers?
FAQ open/close button.

MobiLoud calculates fees based on the number of 30-day active users, as reported in Google Analytics or Firebase. A 30-day active user is defined as a unique device that has opened the app at least once during that period.

Each plan includes a specific number of active users, with additional charges when you exceed the limit:

Startup Plan - Up to 1,000 active users, with an additional $30 per month for each extra 1,000 users.

Growth Plan - Up to 5,000 active users, with an additional $40 per month for each extra 1,000 users.

Corporate Plan - Up to 10,000 active users, with an additional $50 per month for each extra 1,000 users.

We update your plan every 90 days, based on the average number of active users over the previous 90 days. Temporary peaks in user levels due to seasonality or launches won’t impact your subscription.

If you’d like more predictability and potential savings, consider switching to an annual contract. Feel free to reach out to us to discuss this option.

Is your pricing always subscription-based, or do you offer a one-time fee?
FAQ open/close button.

We always use a subscription model because work on a mobile app doesn’t end once it’s live. Apps require ongoing maintenance to keep up with SDK updates for iOS and Android version changes, as well as updates for the App Store and Google Play requirements.

Additionally, key components like push notification and analytics SDKs, along with our platform, need regular updates for security and performance.

A subscription also ensures you have access to support whenever you need it—even years after launch, whether for something as small as updating app store screenshots or more significant adjustments. This model provides the reliability and ongoing service you can count on.

What are the payment terms?
FAQ open/close button.

Our payment structure is straightforward and transparent. Payment is due at the time of sign-up and includes both the setup fee for your chosen plan and the first subscription period (monthly or annual).

The setup fee covers the detailed work of configuring your app and getting it approved on the app stores. The subscription fee ensures ongoing support, maintenance, and updates for your app. These costs are clearly outlined in your plan details and are charged when you commit to working with us.

To help you make an informed decision, we offer a free app preview. This allows you to see how your app will look and function before signing up. Once you decide to move forward, all payments are final, reflecting the work our team has already undertaken to create and maintain your app.

What payment methods do you accept?
FAQ open/close button.

We accept credit card payments for all plans. If you’re on a Corporate plan, we also offer the option to pay via bank transfer or invoice.

For most customers, credit card payments are the fastest and easiest way to get started. If you require bank payments and are on a qualifying plan, let us know, and we’ll set it up for you.

What happens if I exceed 5,000 users?
FAQ open/close button.

Nothing breaks and your app keeps running as normal. The 1,000 or 5,000 user mark is only a billing threshold, not a technical limit. When an app grows past that point, it simply moves to the next usage tier.

If you’re on a contract, we can lock in terms so you know exactly what happens as your user base grows, including a clear process for annual renewals.

If you’re not on a contract, we’ll reach out when it’s time to upgrade to the corporate tier. That tier includes up to 10,000 users and starts at $949 per month, scaling at $50 per 1,000 users above.

Do I keep my app if I cancel?
FAQ open/close button.

No. If you cancel, the app can’t remain live in the app stores. MobiLoud is an ongoing service rather than a one time build. Your app relies on our platform, continuous updates, monitoring, and infrastructure to stay functional and compliant with Apple and Google requirements. That includes keeping up with OS changes, updating dependencies, maintaining push notification services, and ensuring the app meets evolving store policies. Without an active subscription, those essential services stop, so the app has to be taken down. You still retain full ownership of your website and all your content.
