How it works

Designed for the phone, built on your WordPress site

MobiLoud builds a custom iOS and Android app powered by the same code as your WordPress site. Every plugin, membership rule and custom enhancement carries over, and when you update your site, your app updates too.

  1. 1

The app gets built on your live site

No templates, and nothing rebuilt against the WP REST API. The app is powered by the site you already run, so your theme, your plugins and your member logins come with it.

  2. 2

    We design your custom app

MobiLoud's team designs your app's native experience: tab bar and navigation, push notifications, deep linking, offline handling, social sign-in and custom screens, then ships it as iOS and Android apps.

  3. 3

We ship it under your accounts

Our team handles store review and submission, and the app goes live under your own Apple and Google accounts. You keep publishing from WordPress exactly as you do now.

Your site, as a real native app

You get an app with all the features users expect from a native app: tab bar, navigation, gestures, push and login, all native, all built into the app. We've had 2,000+ apps published on the App Store and Google Play, and know what your app needs to look and perform at its best.

What carries over

Everything you've built, working in your app

Most app builders can't replicate what a WordPress site does. They pull your posts from the REST API into their own templates, and everything living in your plugins, your theme and your membership rules is left behind.

MobiLoud works the other way. Our team builds your app on the website you already have. MobiLoud keeps everything from your site in the app, including the plugin-driven features that make it yours.

Your theme, exactly as built

Whether it is a custom theme, a child theme or a page builder layout, the app renders what your theme renders. No second design to keep in step.

Every plugin on the site

Anything in the 59,000-plugin catalogue keeps working, because it keeps running on your site rather than being re-integrated behind an API.

Memberships and paywalls

MemberPress, Restrict Content Pro, Paid Memberships Pro and custom gating all behave in the app as they do on the web, with persistent login so members stay signed in.

Courses and communities

LearnDash, LifterLMS, BuddyBoss and forum plugins come through in full, including progress tracking, quizzes, profiles and discussion threads.

Your publishing cadence

Publish a post in WordPress and it is in the app the moment it is on the web. There is no second CMS, no feed to configure and no app release to wait for.

Page builders and blocks

Elementor, Divi, Bricks and Gutenberg blocks all render as built. Ship a landing page on Monday and it is in the app on Monday.

Multilingual and multisite

WPML and Polylang keep working, and a multisite network can run as one app or several, with each site able to have its own navigation and push audience.

Your hosting and your database

Nothing moves. The app points at the site you already host, so there is no migration, no sync job and no second source of truth.

Works with tools like:

OneSignal Mailchimp ActiveCampaign HubSpot Google Tag Manager Stripe PayPal Zendesk

...And every other plugin on your site. See all integrations

The operating model

Your team keeps working exactly as they do now

The real cost of a mobile app isn't the build: it's the operational tax of having to manage a separate platform. MobiLoud removes all of that. Your team manages the app from WordPress, and we take care of the native side.

Your team

Continues working as you do today

  • Publishing and theme changes, from the WordPress admin you already use
  • Plugins, hooks and your own PHP and front-end work
  • Every plugin you have installed, administered where it is now
  • App-only pages and campaigns, built on your own site

Our team

Handles the native updates and technical maintenance

  • The native iOS and Android build, QA and configuration
  • Submission and approval under your Apple and Google accounts
  • Every OS release, SDK deprecation and store-policy cycle
  • Certificate renewals and native dependency updates
  • Push set up inside your own OneSignal account
  • Launch playbook, install growth and, on Enterprise, monthly performance reviews

No second CMS. No second release cycle. No new headcount.

A new retention channel

A direct line to your most engaged audience

An app unlocks a channel your website cannot. Push notifications land on the lock screen in seconds, with no promotions tab, no spam filter and no cost per send.

Run push notifications for new articles, breaking news, event reminders, course progress, member-only drops and more, driving free engagement from the people who care most about what you publish.

The proof

Real brands get meaningful results from their mobile apps

"With the MobiLoud setup, I can just build the site on WordPress and any changes I make are in the app. I have the power to do what I do well and push it to the app. There is more ownership without a crazy cost or amount of customization."
Dave Yankowiak Director of Technology, Full Focus
"We happened to come across the MobiLoud platform that allowed us to take WordPress, which we already worked with, easily implement it, and within a matter of weeks, we had an app that was good for iOS and Android platforms!"
Chad Carman Director of Digital Media, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

MobiLoud vs the alternatives

A more flexible, more convenient way to build your mobile app

Traditional app development methods aren't a great fit for a WordPress site. They limit you to what an API can expose, or leave you with a codebase that costs far too much to maintain.

MobiLoud

  • Built on the WordPress site you already run
  • Every plugin, theme and membership rule carries over
  • No second CMS and no second release cycle
  • Flat monthly fee, no revenue share
  • Live in 2 to 4 weeks

Template app builders

  • Your posts rebuilt from the WP REST API
  • Plugin-driven features and paywalls rarely survive the move
  • A second CMS to keep in step with your site
  • Layouts limited to the templates on offer
  • Custom features wait on their roadmap

Custom native

  • Built from scratch against the REST API or WPGraphQL
  • Custom integrations needed for any plugin behaviour
  • A second codebase, release cycle and QA track
  • $250K to $1M+ a year, fully loaded
  • 6 to 12 months to launch

Getting live

Launch in 2 to 4 weeks, with minimal lift from your team

We do the work. You bring the assets, and input where it's needed.

  1. Week 1

    Kickoff

Onboarding call to align on configuration and launch plan, plus access to your site and developer accounts.

  2. Weeks 1 to 2

    Build and integrate

We build and configure the app on your live site, with tab menus and navigation rules. Every plugin on the site carries across, and you have a working preview in your hands by week two.

  3. Weeks 1-2

    Customize and test

Design and navigation tuned to your brand, push wired into your OneSignal account, analytics into GA4 and Firebase. QA across iOS and Android, then final approval from you.

  4. Weeks 2 to 4

    Launch

Submitted to the App Store and Google Play under your developer accounts. We manage both store reviews, typically one to two weeks, then the launch playbook goes live.

For the people who sign it off

We can deliver everything your legal, security and finance teams will ask for:

  • Data Processing Agreement and GDPR documentation
  • Insurance certificates on request
  • Custom contracts, redlines and payment terms
  • Invoice or bank transfer, not card-only
  • Member data stays on your own hosting, not on our servers

Can you turn a WordPress site into a mobile app?

Yes. MobiLoud builds custom iOS and Android apps on your live WordPress site, keeping your plugins, posts, member logins and custom features. Nothing is rebuilt from the REST API, and website changes reach the app automatically.

Will my WordPress plugins work in the app?

Yes. Any plugin running on your site works in the app, because it keeps running on your site rather than being re-integrated. Membership plugins, LMS plugins, forums, forms, page builders, translation plugins and bespoke agency code all carry over, which is the main thing that separates the approach from a template app builder that can only show what it has specifically integrated.

Do memberships and paywalls work in a WordPress app?

Yes. MemberPress, Restrict Content Pro, Paid Memberships Pro and custom gating all behave in the app the way they behave on the web. Members sign in once and stay signed in, and the app shows each member exactly the content their subscription entitles them to, because your site is still the thing deciding that.

Do I have to publish content twice?

No. There is one CMS and it is the WordPress admin you already use. A post published on the web is live in the app immediately, with no second editor, no feed to configure and no app release to wait for.

Will Apple and Google approve a WordPress app?

Yes, and we handle the submission. MobiLoud apps are native binaries with real native navigation, push notifications, deep linking and offline handling, which is what the stores look for. We have shipped 2,000+ apps to the App Store and Google Play, submit under your own developer accounts, and manage the review on your behalf.

Can the app take payments or subscriptions?

Yes. Your existing checkout works in the app, with the gateway and plans you already run. Where a subscription unlocks digital content, the app stores require in-app purchase for that transaction, and we set that up and configure the flow as part of the build.

How long does it take to launch a WordPress mobile app?

Most WordPress sites go live on the App Store and Google Play in 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff. That covers discovery and design in week one, build and testing in weeks one and two, followed by app store submission and review.

Who owns the app and the store listings?

You do. Apps are submitted under your own Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so the listings, ratings, install base, analytics and user data all belong to you. If you ever move on, the listings and the users stay with you.

Does this work on WordPress multisite or a headless build?

Yes to both. A multisite network can run as one app that switches between sites, or as separate apps, each with its own navigation and push audience. A headless build works the same way, because the app runs whatever front end you serve.

See your WordPress site as an app, before you decide anything

We'll build a working preview from your live site for you to see. No commitment, no credit card, and nothing to install on your site.
