MobiLoud

Account Executive (Americas)

Remote, Americas; ET working hours, Full-time contractor

Company Overview

MobiLoud helps established ecommerce brands turn their existing websites into iOS and Android apps, without rebuilding their storefront or maintaining a second system.

Our customers use their apps to drive repeat purchases and reach their best customers through push notifications. We’ve built apps for brands including John Varvatos, Jack & Jones, and Tadashi Shoji.

We’re a bootstrapped, profitable, remote-first SaaS company founded in 2013.

The Role

You’ll close new business with established ecommerce brands and build your own pipeline through outreach, events, and partnerships. Working directly with founders and ecommerce leaders, you’ll own the sales process from the first conversation to signed agreement and stay involved through the handoff to onboarding.

You’ll report to the founder and help manage the SDR team: set priorities, coach outreach, review results, and improve qualification. You’ll personally test outbound approaches, then use what you learn to improve how the team generates opportunities.

Why Join MobiLoud

  • Put your ideas into practice. You’ll have room to test outreach, develop partnerships, and turn your own ideas into business. In a small team, the deals you close and the approaches you improve make a visible difference.
  • Develop your sales career with founder support. You’ll learn through founder shadowing, call reviews, and support on early deals. As you become more independent, you’ll take on responsibility for your own pipeline and help SDRs improve theirs.
  • Build connections across ecommerce. You’ll work with brand founders, agency owners, and SaaS partners, attend relevant industry events, and develop a network through relationships you build and maintain.
  • Sell a product with a clear business purpose. You’ll help brands grow repeat purchases and reach their best customers through mobile apps. An established product, real customer stories, and team support on app previews and proposals give you concrete examples to bring into sales conversations.

What You’ll Do

Closing deals

  • Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand each brand’s goals, challenges, buying process, and business case for an app. Own the sales cycle through tailored demos, proposals, pricing conversations, negotiation, and signed agreements.
  • Qualify and progress inbound enquiries, SDR-sourced meetings, referrals, and existing opportunities.
  • Re-engage stalled opportunities when there is a credible reason to reconnect.
  • Brief the onboarding team on each new customer’s goals and commitments. Join kickoff calls where useful and stay involved until the customer has an established relationship with delivery.
  • Keep the CRM current, with accurate deal sources, agreed actions, expected close dates, and regular pipeline forecasts.

Building pipeline and partnerships

  • Generate your own pipeline through targeted calls, emails, direct outreach, and your professional network.
  • Represent MobiLoud at relevant ecommerce and industry events. Meet prospective customers and partners, develop those relationships, and follow up with a clear commercial purpose.
  • Build partnerships with ecommerce agencies and complementary SaaS vendors. Identify where we can help each other’s customers, develop referral relationships, and pursue joint opportunities.

Working with SDRs

  • Manage SDR work with the founder: set priorities, coach outreach, review calls, track results, and improve qualification and handovers.
  • Personally test outbound targeting, messaging, and outreach through your own prospecting. Track what generates conversations and qualified opportunities, then use those results to improve the outbound process and coach SDRs. Give the team feedback grounded in what you have tested and learned.

Who You Are

  • You bring energy and ambition to your work. You want to build an exceptional sales career, take on more responsibility, and make a visible difference to a growing business.
  • You take initiative: start conversations, create opportunities, and follow through. You set a high standard for yourself and put in the extra effort to win business and help the team improve.
  • You’re flexible with your schedule when customer calls, events, or important opportunities need attention beyond your usual working hours.
  • You have at least three years of B2B sales experience and have personally closed software or SaaS deals. You can explain your typical deal size, sales cycle, quota attainment, and results.
  • You’ve generated opportunities yourself through outbound prospecting or professional relationships. You’re comfortable making calls and starting conversations with new prospects.
  • You can coach SDRs on targeting, outreach, and qualification. Previous SDR management experience is a strong advantage, and having worked as an SDR or BDR is also a plus.
  • You actively build your network and turn relationships into sales opportunities. You’re comfortable reaching out to new people, attending industry events, and developing connections with brands, agencies, and SaaS vendors. You see these relationships as a primary way to build pipeline and follow through until they produce referrals, qualified opportunities, or sales.
  • You have strong discovery skills. You listen closely, ask thoughtful follow-up questions, and uncover the customer’s goals, challenges, and commercial priorities. You understand the impact of the problem, who is involved in the decision, and what would make the investment worthwhile. You use that understanding to guide a relevant demo and proposal, handle objections, and agree clear next steps.
  • You communicate clearly in written and spoken English with North American buyers.
  • You’re excited to learn the ecommerce industry: the brands, agencies, SaaS vendors, and people shaping it. Ecommerce sales experience is a plus. You’ll learn our product and customers in depth.
  • You organise your pipeline independently and can propose improvements to messaging, outreach, and the sales process.
  • You must live in the Americas, including North, Central and South America or the Caribbean, and work the full business day on Eastern Time (ET), including its daylight saving changes. You’re comfortable attending relevant events when agreed with the company.

Compensation

Competitive compensation, including a monthly base plus commission on deals you close.

This is an independent contractor engagement. You invoice monthly and handle your own tax obligations. Agreed business travel and event expenses require approval in advance.

Work remotely from anywhere in the Americas, covering the full Eastern Time (ET) business day, including daylight saving changes. Take unlimited time off, with notice when you’re out.

What Success Looks Like

  • You meet agreed closing and revenue targets after ramp-up, with a forecast that reflects the actual progress of your deals.
  • Your own outreach and relationships produce qualified opportunities and closed customers, with clear source attribution.
  • Agency and SaaS relationships produce repeat referrals and joint opportunities.
  • SDR meetings become better qualified and convert more consistently into sales opportunities.
  • New customers start onboarding with their goals, scope, and sales commitments understood by the delivery team.

How You’ll Get Started

You’ll have an onboarding guide, recorded calls, customer examples, and an outbound playbook. You’ll learn the product and sales process, shadow the founder, and practise discovery, demos, and proposals through mock calls.

We’ll support your early customer conversations and proposals, then increase your independence as you’re ready. Regular pipeline and call reviews, plus 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins, will help you keep improving.
